Bond Vet appoints Garrett Lewis to CEO

Bond Vet, a provider of veterinary urgent and primary care services in North America, has named Garrett Lewis, MBA, MS, the CEO. He succeeds founder Mo Punjani, MBA, who will now serve as the company’s chairman.¹

According to the release,¹ Lewis has spent the last decade in the pet care and broader healthcare industries. His background has been in expanding multi-site healthcare businesses, creating and enabling high-performing teams, and a proven track record of leadership positions throughout strategy, business development, operations, and business leadership.

Prior to his new role, Lewis was chief operating officer at VCA Animal Hospitals (VCA), owner and operator of the largest network of freestanding veterinary hospitals in the United States and Canada, where he led US and Brazil Veterinary Hospitals, Marketing, Innovation and Real Estate teams. In 2016, he started with VCA as group vice president of hospitals throughout the Midwest and served in different positions at the company, where he accomplished impressive financial performance, debuted key initiatives, and developed a strong talent pipeline. Before VCA, Garrett was the regional operations director at DaVita, a kidney care organization in the US. Garrett achieved his MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS from the University of Tennessee.¹
