The company also shares a sneak peek at new enhancements coming in future updates.

The Digitail practice information management software (PIMS) solution has been upgraded to provide veterinarians with better visibility and ease of access into a pet’s profile and history. An upcoming update of the PIMS will provide the clinician with insights from the pet parent's home tracking activities, according to the company.

The Digitail pet parent app now includes a personalized learning center and recommended products and services for app users. The current lessons are curated and created by in-house veterinarians, but the goal is to also give veterinary staff the platform where they can share their knowledge with their clients outside of the clinic. Updates in the coming months will expand the app to additionally cater to pet parents with pets with chronic diseases—such as diabetes, allergies, kidney disease, and more—through special data trackers and personalized advice.

With Digitail, pet parents can track their pets’ data, get insights and advice on how to improve their wellbeing, and connect with their veterinarian. The app also gives veterinarians direct access to the pets’ medical data, having the power to proactively provide veterinary care based on real-time datanot only at the clinic, but also remote when desired.

“Veterinarians don’t have the time to search for data and scroll though multiple health records while also diagnosing or administering a treatment to a pet patient,” said Sebastian Gabor, Digitail CEO, in a company press release. “Our goal with this solution is to make the relevant information easily accessible at the right time.”

Digitail is a system that combines a modern PIMS with an integrated pet parent app in an integrated approach the company calls “the hybrid pet care model.” The suite of product aims to create an environment in which pet parents are involved with care and educated while away from the practice, and the veterinary professionals benefit from streamlined access to the pets’ data and a client who can provide better information and at-home care. Digitail provides the communication, resources, and optimizations to each party at every step of the way.
