Zoonotic concerns
The client and the pet may share the same health concern. Reassure the client that the profession also values human health.
Antibiotic resistance
Educate clients so they're aware excessive use of antibiotics can lead to more problems for their pets in the future.
Ear infections
If the pet has had more than two ear infections in the past year, identify what could be causing the issue.
Allergy management
Explain that every allergy case doesn't need medication. Discuss other tools and approaches.
