In light of National Paw Parent Appreciation Day, Dr. Marty Pets spotlighted 3 pet parents who have provided the utmost care and unconditional love for their animals.
To celebrate Paw Parent Appreciation Day today, Dr. Marty Pets has revealed its 3 finalists for the best "Paw Parent," who will be inducted into the 2022 Paw Parent Hall of Fame.
"The stories of these pet parents blew me away, and our whole team is so proud to be recognizing these remarkable parents," expressed Marty Goldstein, DVM, founder of Dr. Marty Pets, in a company release.1
"Our pets do so much to enrich and brighten our lives, and when we see dog and cat moms like these three finalists going above and beyond to care and love them like their own children, that should not go unnoticed,” he continued.
The finalists are as follows1:
Elizabeth Quintero: From Dallas, Texas, Quintero offers 24-7 care, compassion, and love to her 11 foster and rescue dogs while managing her medical conditions. She takes her pets to many veterinary appointments, tube feeding, chemotherapy, specialized diets, and more.
Karen Christian: Christian is a dedicated volunteer at Crossroads Campus, a rescue organization based in Nashville, Tennessee, that cares for marginalized or cast-off dogs and adolescents. Christian has fostered over 70 dogs since joining Crossroads, typically offering to take dogs home with her in dire circumstances.
Peggy Hoyt: From the Orlando, Florida area, Hoyt is a lifelong animal advocate, attorney, foster mom, and a pet parent of 6 rescue dogs, 2 rescue cats, and 3 rescue horses. She is also an author, hosts a weekly podcast, and is the founder of Animal Care Trust USA, Inc.
According to the release,1 the Most Valuable Paw Parent (MVPP) will be gifted a $2,000 cash prize and a $500 donation made in their name to a local animal shelter or pet charity of their choice. The additional 2 finalists will be awarded a $500 cash prize each and a $500 donation made in their name to the local animal shelter or pet charity of their choice. The finalists will be displayed on Dr. Marty Pet’s social media pages.
