IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. has developed a new, enhanced version of its practice software in Cornerstone 5.0.This Microsoft Windows-based software is designed to provide veterinary practitioners with instant access to frequently-used patient and practice data with integrated links to diagnostic test results and other pertinent medical information. Cornerstone 5.0 now features the Patient Clipboard. It gives the practice staff easier, faster and more intuitive access to patient and client data by integrating information onto a single screen, the company says. Users can see all patient data on one screen, from medical history, test results, digital radiographs, surgery log and doctor annotations to invoices and client information. In-depth data on each parameter is just one click away.Additional software features available with the Cornerstone 5.0 software are: The Veterinary Pharmacy Reference (VPR) formulary: This interactive formulary offers complete drug information, including indications, dosages, contraindications and drug interactions. This reference contains data on more than 1,200 brand name, human, veterinary and generic drugs. IVS-Connect: This links practices to test results from the nationwide network of reference laboratories within IDEXX Laboratory Services. Reports display each patient sample with easy-to-read bar graphs showing normal ranges and highlighting abnormal ranges. The cumulative data feature shows multiple results for the patient in chronological order. Patient Advisor: This client communication program helps the practitioner gather consistent medical records and provide clients with personalized information, including pet health report cards, treatment plans and other educational materials.
