Rockville, MD. - 1/4/08 - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) is seeking applicants to participate in the 2008 Summer Intern Program.
Through collaboration with the National Institutes of Health, Minority Access to Research Careers Program, National Science Foundation and Alliances for Minority Participation, the program aims to provide experience to students in the areas of regulatory research and review activities.
With the intern program open to undergraduate, graduate and professional students, opportunities include an expansion of technical skills, guidance and information through the career exploration process, mentoring during research initiatives and increased exposure to FDA and CVM careers and professional directives.
Offering full-time employment for 10 weeks, the program begins June 2 and allocates a $5,000 stipend to graduate and professional students. The deadline for applications is Feb. 8.
