This acquisition will help the company play a key role as a European leader in PIMS.
Heska Corporation—an international provider of advanced veterinary diagnostic and specialty products and solutions—has acquired VetZ GmbH (VetZ), a European innovator in veterinary practice information management software solutions (PIMS) headquartered in Germany. Initially announced on November 2, 2021, this acquisition marks a significant achievement in the company’s strategic plan.
Since its launch in 1997, VetZ has offered powerful, user-friendly, and fully integrated veterinary software solutions for improved workflow, communication, service and patient outcomes.
According to a company release, the acquisition closed under the purchase agreement in which Heska GmbH—a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company—obtained 100% of the share capital of VetZ. Heska management plans to further comment on the matter and provide more details in the company's fourth-quarter and full-year 2021 financial results report.
Additionally, the company will also expand upon the acquisition during a conference call in February 2022 and as part of its next Investor Day in the first half of 2022.
