Photographer Mark McDonald's photo studio in Kansas City, Mo., is stocked with high-tech equipment to create the perfect shot. He rolled down a blue background and strategically clipped a piece of white foam board to a stand to get just the right lighting effect.

Veterinary Economics'

Custom Communications department. Dupont gave us some great expressions. We considered using this crazed shot for the cover but decided the emotion didn't correctly portray the story's message.
