The product allows the veterinary practitioner easy venous access for blood draws and short-term infusions where an indwelling catheter is not required.
The flexible 12-in. length of tubing with a female adapter can easily be attached to the luer tip of a syringe.
The winged infusion sets are the first group of products introduced under the TransIVa brand name, Abbott's new line of fluid-therapy products, designed for veterinarians.
The company also introduces a 21-gauge (green), 23-gauge (blue) and 25-gauge (red) winged infusion sets.
