Oklahoma Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners opens online store

Article

Veterinary professionals and pet owners can now log on to the same website to purchase veterinary directories and resources.

An online store may become the one-stop shop for veterinary professionals and pet owners in Oklahoma-at least, when it comes to finding a licensed veterinarian.

The Oklahoma Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners and Oklahoma's official website, OK.gov., collaborated on okvetboard.com, a website that allows anyone to search for veterinary professionals.

The site, which sells veterinary databases and resources, such as the Oklahoma Practice Act, also lets veterinary professionals pay application fees online, including those for license renewal, reinstatement, and reciprocity. Display licenses also are available for purchase on the site.

For pet owners, the site offers a search for veterinary professionals and verifying licensure. Pet owners can also submit complaints against veterinary care providers on the site.

For more on the website, visit okvetboard.com.
