Royal Canin North America appoints Kira Best as vice president of sales for Chewy

Royal Canin, a division of Mars, Incorporated, has named Kira Best as vice president of sales for Chewy. She will report to Daryn Brown, regional president Royal Canin North America, effective June 1, 2023.

In her prior position, Best has developed relationships to drive the purpose and progress of the collaboration in a mutual manner for Chewy, one of the company's largest customers. Additionally, she has displayed an ability to connect people and solve business challenges in a kind, strategic, and mutual way.¹ Her plan for growth, including career pathing within the business unit and e-commerce, is a commendable one.

Since 2015, Best has been a part of Royal Canin and offers a range of experience, including account management (national and key accounts), retail sales, and category and trade management throughout various retailers and categories before obtaining her role on the Chewy Team. Best helped lead the company's Black Advisory Council Associate Resource Group and has engaged in the 2021 McKinsey Black Leadership Academy and the 2020 cohort of Women Leading Purposefully program at Mars.¹

Best achieved her Bachelor of Science degree and Business Administration in Marketing Management with a Minor in Communications from the Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and her and her husband, Gabriel, have 1 son, Gabriel III.
