UC Davis’ National Veterinary Entrepreneurship Academy is designed to educate participants about commercialization including how to identify, develop, and validate the commercial potential of their research or idea.
The University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine recently announced that it will be hosting a virtual academy this summer.
UC Davis’ National Veterinary Entrepreneurship Academy aims to help researchers, veterinary professionals, and government personnel understand the commercialization process, including how to commercialize research discoveries and innovations.
“I highly recommend the entrepreneurship academy to anyone who is thinking of taking their intellectual property into the marketplace," says Jamie Peyton DVM, DACVECC, CVA, chief of the veterinary school's Integrative Medicine Service, on the academy website.
This inaugural program, which will be held July 12-16, 2021, on Zoom, will be presented by the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and the Mike and Renee Child Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health is the platinum partner to the National Veterinary Entrepreneurship Academy.
