NorthStar VETS and Philadelphia Animal Special & Emergency will join forces to enhance pet care to patients in Philadelphia and New Jersey
NorthStar VETS announced earlier this week that it has entered a strategic partnership with Philadelphia Animal Specialty & Emergency Group (PASE). Through the partnership, both hospitals will collaborate to bring together the 2 hospitals, each veterinarian-owned, to enhance patient care, encourage innovation, and offer more services for the referral community.
"Merging with PASE allows us to provide seamless access to top-tier specialty and emergency veterinary care for even more pets and their families in the Mid-Atlantic region," expressed Daniel Stobie, DVM, MS, DACVS, founder and chief medical officer of NorthStar VETS, and a 2021 recipient of dvm360’s Veterinary Hero Awards, in an organizational release.1

According to the release, NorthStar VETS and PASE will both continue to operate independently to make sure the current processes and expectations for the hospitals are not unchanged for clients and referring veterinarians.1 The goal is to make this partnership a seamless experience for both new and existing patients for PASE’s veterinary team and services.
"This partnership is a union of like-minded veterinary specialists and professionals devoted to providing the best possible clinical outcomes for pets in need," said Adam Yoskowitz, VMD, DACVR, head of diagnostic imaging and partner at PASE.1 "We're excited to join forces with NorthStar VETS and remain a veterinary-owned and led organization. We will both benefit from shared operational support and unified medical leadership.”
Contact information for both hospitals will remain the same.
