Elmsford, N.Y.

-- AFP Imaging Corporation just changed its name to ImageWorks.

The company describes itself as a vertically integrated manufacturer of veterinary, dental and medical imaging technologies.

R. Scott Jones, ImageWorks' chairman, says in a prepared statement, "We feel that the name ImageWorks embodies the energy, innovation and customer responsiveness that we value and strive to maintain."

Significant investments are being focused on the development of a dedicated customer center, and state-of-the-art training center. Both of these facilities are under development at the company's headquarters here.

ImageWorks entered the veterinary market several years ago with the introduction of EVA-Vet Digital X-ray sensor. It now includes a portfolio of digital and analog intraoral X-ray systems, film processors and veterinary software. Its combined dealer network includes more than 3,000 distributors in 46 countries, worldwide, the company reports.

While the company says its new name reflects a new market approach, "all existing warranties, service agreements and partnerships remain intact."
