Butterfly Network, Inc—a company focusing on point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS)—and BetterVet Mobile Veterinary Care have partnered to equip all of its locations nationwide with a Butterfly iQ+ Vet—a one-of-its-kind single probe, whole-body, multi-species ultrasound system.

According to a company release, BetterVet provides premium mobile veterinary services in Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and Seattle, with plans to open locations in Detroit, Portland, and San Diego. BetterVet offers clients the same services they receive from brick-and-mortar veterinary practices but in the comfort of their own home and being supplied with Butterfly iQ+ enhances its capabilities.

“BetterVet provides expert veterinary services pet parents would typically find in a brick-and-mortar practice—and that includes diagnostic tools like ultrasound,” said Dani Cimino, DVM, BetterVet's Chief Veterinary Officer. “With Butterfly iQ+ Vet, we’re able to get crucial information from inside the pet’s body and use it to make decisions in real-time. Plus, we can do this at home with less stress and anxiety for the pet and family.”

The iQ+ Vet is the second generation of Butterfly’s veterinary ultrasound device and offers sharper imaging, a new procedural guidance tool, and hardware enhancements to improve the tool’s power, versatility, and user-friendliness.

“Butterfly’s innovative technology can help support BetterVet’s mission of providing low-stress care to pets,” said Darius Shahida, Butterfly Network’s chief strategy & business development officer. “Butterfly is a non-invasive, advanced-assessment tool that allows practitioners to make more informed decisions and efficiently deliver positive outcomes wherever they may be."
