Fear Free appoints new chief veterinary professional relations officer

Fear Free, LLC, announced this week it is welcoming Kwane Stewart, DVM, as an advisor in the role of chief veterinary relations officer. Stewart will serve as an ambassador for Fear Free to raise awareness and further teach animal and welfare industries about Fear Free through speaking, public relations, and community engagement opportunities.

“As someone who has always ensured that the animals, I care for have a positive and stress-free interaction, I’m thrilled to join the Fear Free team,” Stewart said, in an organizational release.¹ “I hope to be a bridge between my work in the streets and the professional care we deliver to our pets in a clinical setting, so pets always receive the emotional support they deserve.”

His new role also includes working in tangent with Fear Free to help identify new and fresh ways to help serve pet owners. Stewart is uniquely qualified not only does he have 25 years of experience, but he has worked within shelters, emergency clinics, nonprofits, and working as a veterinarian for Netflix.

“With Dr. Stewart’s intimate experience across most aspects of veterinary medicine, he was a logical choice to represent Fear Free for various audiences,” Marty Becker, DVM, founder of Fear Free, said. “But his passion to help all pets live happy, healthy, full lives—and the ability to lead others to follow this ‘dream with deadlines’—made the decision to have him join the Fear Free team an easy one.
