One veterinary student's motivation to move forward

During an interview with dvm360®, Lahkia Fuller, MS, dvm360® student ambassador, explained that her younger siblings and any future veterinary student of color are who she thinks of when she is faced with challenges. When she thinks of them, she is reminded that her becoming a veterinarian is helping to create a pathway for future veterinary students.

Lahkia Fuller, MS: I want to say it would be my siblings [that inspire me]. I am the oldest of 5 so I have a lot of people looking up to me. So I feel like it's my responsibility as their old sister to show them we came from the same circumstances if you want to do something that you want to do you just have to go after it and do it.
