New location is in the Carmel Valley neighborhood of San Diego
Papaya Veterinary Care has opened its first ever location at The Village in Pacific Highlands Ranch in San Diego, California. The veterinary hospital group provides full-service veterinary care and is now accepting walk-ins, urgent care services, and general wellness visits. The hospital is equipped with a cat specific exam room, a dental suite, and brand-new equipment.
“At Papaya Veterinary Care our ‘why’ is for the love of those who don't have a voice. Naturally, our pets are the first to come to mind when we think of those without a voice,” said Genevieve Borso, CEO of Papaya Veterinary Care, in a company release. “At Papaya, we believe this should include pet parents and veterinary professionals looking for more.”1

The Papaya veterinary staff includes Alexis Tindall, DVM, executive medical director, and Rob Brooks, BVM&S.2 According to Papaya, during days off and after work, the Papaya veterinary team loves to embrace the outdoor lifestyle that San Diego County offers. They enjoy activities such as cycling, hiking, surfing, indulging in wine tasting, camping, and simply relaxing on the beach. In addition to veterinary professionals, the team is full of surfers, brewery enthusiasts, personal baristas, and vintage shoppers all who share a common passion for animals and thrive in a collaborative environment.1
“As an executive medical director at Papaya my first and foremost concern is the happiness and health of my team. I have been given all the tools to create the environment I feel will not only attract the right people, but retain them as well,” said Tindall.
This Carmel Valley location serves as the veterinary company’s first location with further expansion plans into Los Angeles and Encinitas later this year. For more information on Papaya Veterinary Care and its offerings, please visit www.papayapet.com.
