Company emphasizes Fear Free experiences and well-being for employees
PetVet365, a locally owned network of veterinary hospitals that is 100% Fear Free certified, has announced1 it has opened its 21st hospital in less than 5 years. PetVet365 has 32 local partners has provided care to more than 50,000 pets.
Ownership of PetVet356 begins when the lease is signed, and each owner is supported by a team of experts helping them to make decisions about construction, hiring, pricing, marketing, etc, according to a company release.1
“We believe that to really be The Vet your Pet Dreams About we must be Vet Owned. Vet Led. Vet Loved. Our secret sauce is simply supporting our doctors and getting out of their way. They are all capable of building and operating multi-million-dollar hospitals,” said Andrea Johnson, DVM, MS, chief medical officer and co-founder of PetVet365, in the release.1
Additionally, PetVet365 offers its teams 4-day workweeks and well-being resources to help prevent burnout. “When you take care of everyone in your organization, you don’t have to worry about the level of care they will provide pets and pet parents. People who are valued and rested always give the highest level of care,” added chief well-being officer and co-founder, Beverly Porter, DVM.
As a 100% Fear Free certified network, every caregiver and every PetVet365 hospital is certified. According to the release,1 exam suites feel homey with couches, TVs, plants, and treats, and the local owner selects the personal touches, (ie, artwork displaying the local team’s pets).
“We desire to serve our neighbors well by caring for their pets in a comfortable, Fear Free environment. From cat-only suites to no waiting areas, we are different, and it shows,” said Iheoma Ehie, DVM, new PetVet365 owner in Atlanta, in the release.
