Use a team effort to increase recycling efforts

Even paperless practices can generate a lot of trash. The conservation-minded team members at Pembroke Veterinary Clinic in Virginia Beach, Va., were bothered that their paper-lite practice didn't have the budget to pay for recycling services. (The city of Virginia Beach only picks up recycling bins from private homes, not businesses.) "So we put two bins in the hospital, one for paper and one for glass and plastic," says hospital manager Beth Montoya, CVPM. "Six team members signed up to take the recycling home to their private bins once weekly. It's not too much of a burden for the team members, and we feel good knowing we're helping to protect our environment!"
