Bow Wow Buddies Foundation celebrates this major milestone by highlighting success stories and encouraging donations
Bow Wow Buddies Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Camp Bow Wow and committed to helping sick and injured dogs, has reached $1 million in grants to dogs in urgent medical situations.
"As the leading pet care franchise, Camp Bow Wow is dedicated to the health and happiness of the dogs in our care, and we are grateful to be able to extend that commitment to dogs in need by providing urgent medical care grants through our Bow Wow Buddies Foundation," stated Camp Bow Wow president Julie Turner.1 "We want to thank our dedicated franchise owners, Camp staff and the nearly 10,000 dog lovers each year who make our work possible by donating to the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation."
To show appreciation, the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation spotlighted 15 recent grant recipients from rescues and pet owners who required financial assistance to pay for lifesaving veterinary procedures. Here are some highlights1:
According to Camp Bow Wow, grant applications have increased 360% since 2020,1 likely in tandem with the spike in pet ownership with US households with dogs increasing from 38.4% to 44.5% from 2016 to 2022.2 Therefore, the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation is encouraging the public to donate to continue to support dogs with serious health complications. Later this fall, Camp Bow Wow is also debuting an online auction to garner additional funding.
