Collaborating with pet industry partners and shelters to promote safety and prevent pets from getting lost
PetHub, Inc—the first networked database and subscription membership service for pets and pet owners in the US—launched its 9th annual Lost Pet Prevention Month (LPPM) at the beginning of July. According to a company release,1 PetHub established this awareness month in 2014 to offer pet parents with strategies, content, and resources to prevent pets from getting lost. It also was created to provide recovery techniques to help pets return home safely and quickly.
“PetHub is committed to helping pet parents keep their pets safe, happy and home for the rest of their lives,” expressed CEO and co-founder, Lorien Clemens, in the release. “One in three pets will become lost at some point during their life, which is why we created LPPM to raise awareness about the growing problem of lost pets and to provide pet parents with helpful resources, tools and best practices for lost pet prevention and recovery.”
During the month, PetHub is teaming up with pet industry partners and shelters to prepare pet parents for any circumstance. Every week, the company will focus on specific topics associated with lost pets (ie, pet travel safety, training and enrichment, local and community resources, etc). Additionally, PetHub and these LPPM partners will offer special discounts to pet owners1:
