Staff members made a list of deceased patients who had touched them in a special way. Then team members wrote each pet's name on a set of angel wings to hang on the tree. "We had about 50 pairs of wings on the tree last year," says co-owner Dr. Steva Stowell.

"It was so heartwarming to see everyone on the team participate, many with tears in their eyes," he says. "This activity confirmed to me that our staff members are here because they truly care about our patients and clients. And our clients were touched and amazed that we remembered."
